The location is probably an educated guess: Ipswich, from which Francis' kinsman John Barnard (and possibly Francis himself) emigrated is in Suffolk county/shire, on the eastern side of England, and Hadleigh is only about 10 miles from Ipswich. Hadley, Massachusetts, was probably named so by it's founders after Hadleigh, England, from whence at least some of them came.
