  John Barnard (1821 Bloomfield - 24 Dec. 1847 @26) John Barnard, died 24 Dec. 1847, aged 26 years; interred St. Andrews Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford, CT, to right of his son 8-John Milton Barnard John "received a good common-school education, and throughout life engaged in farming in Bloomfield town. He was noted for his honesty and honorable dealings, and was highly respected by the entire community. Politically he was a Democrat,and in religious connection was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church." Commemorative Biographical Records of Hartford County, Connecticut: J. H. John married Martha Griswold Barnard (27 May 1815 - 4 Sept. 1897) , daughter of Milton Barnard of Bloomfield; after death of John, she married Lorenzo Hoskins. Dates are per Connecticut Headstone Inscriptions p. 588, St. Andrews (Scotland)Cem., where she is interred as "Martha G. Barnard Hoskins, wife of Lorenzo" In Commemorative Biographical Records of Hartford County, Connecticut: J. H. Beers & Co., Chicago, 1901, p. 1344, she is incorrectly identified as Martha J. Barnard.
