Samuel W. Barnard, of No. 200 Blue Hills avenue, a weigher in the employ of the Trout Brook Ice & Feed company, was found dead at 6:30 this morning in the scales office of the company on Spruce street by a fellow employee. Death was due toheart trouble. Barnard went to work at 5:30. He had been in the employ of the company eight years. He leaves a wife, seven children, Blanche, Walter, Erwin, Marjorie, Leroy, Alice and Mildred Barnard, all of Hartford; a brother, George H. Barnard, of Hartford, and one sister, Mrs. H. A. Elmer, of Simsbury. Mr. Barnard was born in Bloomfield, June 13, 1860, a son of Walter and Sarah (Webster) Barnard. The funeral will be held at his late home, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. SAMUEL W. BARNARD DIES WHILE AT WORK Samuel W. Barnard of No. 2000 Blue Hills avenue was found dead yesterday morning about 6:30 o'clock by workmen entering the scales department of the Trout Brook Ice Company on Spruce Street. Barnard wasabout 56 years old and had been in the employ of the company eight years. He went to work at 5:30 o'clock and evidentlyhad an attack of heart failure. He was born in Bloomfield, June 13, 1860, and leaves a wife and seven children. The funeral will be held at his home, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock and the burial will be in Bloomfield.---The Hartford Courant, Sunday, 21 January 1917, Part III, p. 1.

Obituary and funeral notices: Mrs. Ernest Walker [sic] Mrs. Louise J. Barnard Walker of 1693 Park Street died Monday morning at the Mt. Sinai Hospital after a short illness. She leaves her husband, four sons: Erwin Barnard of Manchester, Leroy S. Barnard of Hartford, Walter M. Mrs. Louise B. Walters Funeral The funeral of Mrs. Louise Barnard Walters of 1963 Park Street was held Thursday afternoon in the E. G. Fisette Funeral Home. Rev. E. B. Stetson of the Church of the Nazarene officiated. The bearers were Charles Hurlburt, John Sheehan, Joseph Roy, Edwin Luscomb, Fred Wells and Hugh McMahon.
