Ogozaly July 26, 2006 Edward J. Ogozaly, 76, of Whites Crossing, Carbondale Township, died Wednesday at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. His wife, the former Patricia Barnard, diedin 1996. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Stella Shock Ogozaly Sr. He attended school in Fell Township and was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of St. Michael's Church, Simpson. Edward especially loved his grandchildren and will be missed by hisfamily. Surviving are three sons, Edward Jr., Richmond, Va.; Walter, South Canaan; and John, Carbondale; four daughters, Deborah Vivian, Fleetville; Lou-Ann Ogozaly, Whites Crossing; and Joann Blauvelt and Darlene Gebert, both of Carbondale; three brothers, John, Simpson; Donald, Forest City; and Robert, Carbondale; four sisters, Patricia Farrell, Manchester, Conn.; Veronica Maslona, East Harford, Conn.; Joanne Petrick, Summerland, Fla.; and Irene Kirk, Vernon, Conn.; 15 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Eugene; and four sisters, Mary Moran, Christine Thomas, Jean Morgan and Victoria Hunt. The funeral will be Saturday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, Simpson, to becelebrated by the Rev. Hilary L. Malinowski. Interment in the parish cemetery.
