Aaron is enumerated in the 1800 federal census index, Oneida Co., NY p. 216. Ages in household are coded 01001-0130100,per FTM CD #312 Census Index: U.S. Selected Counties, 1800. Ages correspond thusly: 1 male, 10-16 years [probably 6-Jehiel]; 1 male, 45 years and over [Aaron, Sr]; 1 female, 10-16 yrs. [Sarah]; 3 females, 16-26 years [Lucy, two others]; 1 female, 45 years and over [Aaron's wife]. Who the two 16-26 year-old females are is not evident, and sons George, Levi, Horace, and Hezekiah are not accounted for--WMB
Aaron is interred in Lee Center Pioneer Cemetery, per Aaron's descendant 13-Adam Joseph Barnes. Lee Center, Oneida, NY,not shown on many maps, is located a few miles north of Rome, NY. Adam posted the following 17 June 2001 on the Internet at genforum.genealogy.com/barnard/messages/1607.html: "My Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather Aaron Barnard is buried in the Lee Center Pioneer Cemetery. My grandfather found it there in 1955 and forget to write the dates down. The next time he went there was 1989 or 90 and the cemetery was cleaned and looked nice but Aaron's grave was not there. I was wondering if any if you had a picture or drawing of the grave or have the dates" HOWEVER, THIS MAY BE A YOUNGERAARON BARNARD WHO WAS ENUMERATED AT LEE IN THE 1820 CENSUS: SEE HEREAFTER DISCUSSION UNDER 6-AARON (SON OF 5-AARON)--WMB
