This well known and reliable house was established in 1855 by Messrs. Keith & Barnard and has been conducted by members of these families ever since. In 1892 it came into the possession of James Keith and Henry Barnard jr. and continued under their joint ownership until last February when the partnership was dissolved and Mr. Barnard became sole proprietor. The store is located at 211 W. Dominick street, and is 100x25 feet. The interior is divided into an office, show room and repairing shop and is fitted with all necessary appliances for convenience in handling and proper display of goods. The stock handled comprises everything in the line of harness, saddlery and racing goods, such as sweats, collars, hames, light and heavy harness, whips, lap robes, blankets, etc. In addition to the stock of horse goods, etc., a complete line of trunks, telescopes and traveling bags is carried and, as he enjoys exceptional buying facilities, Mr. Barnard is able to offer his goods at reasonable prices. All kinds of harness repairing is done and this, in connection with the business-like conduct of affairs, makes the establishment a truly representative one.
