      James L. Barnard; owned dairy firm: James Leroy Barnard, owner and operator of Jimmy's Dairy Products in East Hartford,died Sunday at Hartford Hospital. He was 62. He was a lifelong resident of East Hartford.

      Mr. Barnard's business is one of the last in the state to deliver milk and other dairy products door to door. He had been in business for 18 years and worked until the time of his death.

      He previously was employed by the Bergren Dairy in East Hartford for 22 years.

      Mr. Barnard was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the East Hartford Elks Lodge 2063 and St. Mary's Church. He also was the sponsor of Jimmy's Dairy Bowling Team, which competed in the Silver Lane Bowling League, East Hartford.
