Obituary of Barbara A. (Barnard) Tobin: The Hartford Courant, December 3, 2001 Page: B9 Section: CONNECTICUT Edition: STATEWIDE Type: OBITUARY TOBIN, BARBARA A. (BARNARD) TOBIN, Barbara A. (Barnard) Barbara A. (Barnard) Tobin, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, (December 2, 2001). She spent her last days surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, James Tobin. Prior to moving to Windsor, she lived in Hartford and Park Forest, IL. Before her retirement, she was employed by Dr. James Naylor, DDS. Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Sass of West Hartford; and four devoted granddaughters, Julie and her husband, John Carroll, Michele and her husband, Andy Jadovich, and KimberlySass, all of Simsbury, and Debbie Sass of West Hartford. ``Gramma Barbara'' will be greatly missed by her four great grandchildren, Skyler, Austin, Rhyan, and Cody. She is also survived by a sister, Sylvia Barnard of Windsor; two brothers and a sister-in-law, G. Robert Barnard of Salem, and William and Beverly Barnard of Niantic; a very special, loving niece, Susan Chamberlin; several nieces and nephews; and many caring friends. Barbara's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the loving care given to Barbara by the 8-1 staff at St. Francis Hospital and the staff and physicians at St. Francis Cancer Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 10 a.m. with a Mass of ChristianBurial at St. Gertrude's Church, 550 Matianuck Ave., Windsor. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield. Herfamily will receive friends Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
