(Wormstedt) Barnard Schach, 95, of the Elmwood section of West Hartford, wife of the late Robert Barnard and Gebhart Schach, died Thursday, (August 30, 2001) at Governor's House, Simsbury. She was born in Ellington, daughter of the late Ferdinand W. and Clara M. (Preuss) Wormstedt, one of 13 children, moving to live in Bloomfield and had resided inWest Hartford since 1965. Mrs. Schach was a member of the Elmwood Senior Center. Mrs. Schach is survived by her daughter, Beverly B. Sweeney, of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Sweeney of West Hartford and James Todd Sweeney of Tampa, FL; and her brother, Irving Wormstedt in Florida. The funeral service will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m. at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford with the Rev. Dwight Dutton officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Barkhamsted. Visitation will be Saturday, 12 Noon until the time of the service.
